Chiang Mai Rice Life has been a destination for those seeking to get far away from the maddening crowd and finding peace and calm for years.

A short skip and a hop from the city centre between Sansai and Sankampaeng, Chiang Mai Rice Life is all about…the rice life.

Paddy fields of swaying lime green rice stretch as far as the eyes can see, dotted by teak rice barns and sala. A charming café, open to the verdant elements, serves up seasonal delights and delicious bites as you gaze out over the paddies and take a sip of aromatic coffee.

Naturally all rice served is home-grown and you can order the classics, pad krapao, pork tonkatsu or American fried rice, amongst a number of delightful rice dishes which are guaranteed organic throughout the entire process from planting to milling, all of which is done right there in the surrounding fields.  There is a multitude of other savoury dishes from pasta to noodles and you also can dig into the desserts which are all freshly baked and made.

Try the yuzu coffee, a signature drink here which offers up a lovely blend of sweet, sour and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The bael cake and blueberry cheese pie is well worth saving some room for, both home made on premisis.

Chiang Mai Rice Life even offers workshops about all aspects of rice life and farming for anyone interested in a fun and educational cultural activity.
