We love Chiang Mai but even we have to take a break some times! These are articles on travelling anywhere outside the city from just down the road to the other side of the world.

While we love that people travel to Chiang Mai, we also love to travel out of Chiang Mai. With direct flights to a multitude of destinations from as far as Doha to as near as Luang Prabang, Chiang Mai is a hop and a skip away from Asia’s greatest and most exotic destinations. At Citylife have done our best to take time off work to explore them for you!

We have wended our way along Bhutan’s winding roads visiting cloud-shrouded monasteries, we have eaten our way through Hong Kong’s food stalls, we have been awed by Taiwan’s imperial museum collections, ridden camels across Dubai’s dunes, waxed pretentiously on a bar stool Rudyard Kipling could have sat on in Yangon and taken selfies as we gazed at the haunting mountains of Hangzhou from a bamboo raft.

Internal flights, train rides and bus journeys have also been featured as we have explored the islands of the gulf, the jungles of Khao Yai, the nightlife of Bangkok and the street food of Isaan.
But sometimes, the most exciting journeys can be closest to home. The roads of the north of Thailand are superb and road trips are a popular activity for many residents, especially with the abundance of world-class resorts and retreat to be found across the region.

Come and take a journey with us…
