Thai food from each region of Thailand differs greatly, in fact, from village to village you can find exciting new recipes across the Kingdom.

Ekachan is a Thai restaurant serving up food from all corners of the land. Set in a charming old wooden house on Charoenprathet Road, Ekachan brings exotic dishes from each region to its tables, with many unique dishes you may have never tried before.

Chef Ekapol ‘Ake’ Pitwong runs this show and brings his ten years’ experience to the kitchen. He sources produce from each region, adding authenticity to each dish.

Using rice berry from SukJai Organic Farm in Lamphun, spicy curry dishes are served filled with punchy flavours.

Try the red curry cockles with crispy betel leaves, a full-bodied dish bursting with flavour and textures. The beef turmeric curry is another classic dish with mellow and complementary flavours swirling around a thick aromatic broth.

Then there is the delicate crunch of sweet shrimps tossed in a spicy salad of mixed fruits from Nakorn Rachasima province. Each visit will feature different fruits as only organic and seasonal fruits are used. The same goes for the vegetables served as well as many of the dessert dishes.

If you are only looking for a simple meal, the chef has selected a few set dishes for only 89 baht per dish with curry and rice served from 11am until 1pm.

They also have snacks and good wines if you just wish to graze! A great spot to discover the variety and richness of Thai cuisine in a casual and cosy setting.
