Ranjeet Singh, President of Indian Community of Chiang Mai, donated masks to help the people Chiang Mai to alleviate the problems of pollution. The Governor of Chiang Mai Suphachai Iamsuwan and former deputy Mayor of Chatri Chuemanochan accepted the masks on behalf of Chiang Mai residents,at Thapae Gate.

On Sunday 17 March there will be a performance of Beauty & The Beast at Kad Theatre Kad Suan Kaew – presented by Chiang Mai Ballet Academy – 2 performances noon and 3.30pm – principle dancers include Piyawat Muninthorn, Khemruthai Chaiwipassatorn, Sasipim Wattanachet, Pakkhaporn Eiamtap and more than 300 other students from the Academy – tickets cost between 300 thb and 1000 thb available on the door. Opening of Lanna Oriental Hotel
Lanna Oriental Hotel is slated to be a four star hotel situated on two rai of land on Singharat Road. Farung Conareus, CEO of 89 Luxury Proper Co. Ltd., stated that over 400 million baht had been invested into the hotel.
Lanna Oriental Hotel consists of 55 rooms with full facilities including a restaurant, coffee shop, spa, fitness room, swimming pool and conference rooms. The hotel is still under development and expected to be completed this April.

The 12th Bike to Doi Inthanon
A press conference was held at Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai. Kritsiam Kongsatree, the superintendent of Doi Inthanon National Park announced the 12th Bike to Doi Inthanon. The activity is a collaboration between Chiang Mai Ram Hospital and Ramkhamhaeng Hospital to raise fund for Forest Ranger Foundation. Ramkhamhaeng Hospital has donated 1.2 million baht in aid of the foundation.

A cocktail reception prior to the ‘Let’s take CARE together: A Thai-Austrian Experience’ Concert and Photo Exhibition at the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel. Judith Schildberger, Deputy Head of Mission at the Austrian Embassy Bangkok welcomed guests including the Governor of Chiang Mai Supachai Iamsuwan. The concert was performed by Agnes Palmisano (vocals) and Paul Gulda (piano). The event was part of the celebrations for 150 years of friendship between Austria and Thailand.
