Launch of the Chiang Mai Breathe Council
The official launch of the Chiang Mai Breathe Council. Active members from the private sector, NGOs, government sector and community leaders have agreed to come together to lead the charge of the previously rudderless anti pollution movement. A two pronged approach will be taken, to take the issue to the government to gain funds and policies as well as to create a mass movement to raise awareness and educate.

Jenny Sun studied Thai cuisine for over 10 years, studied French cuisine for 2 years but her passion is Italian ice cream. Waste Me Not seminar at Free Bird Café, concentrating on zero waste, circular economy and recycling.
Waste Me Not seminar at Free Bird Cafe, inviting leaders in the zero waste, circular economy and sustainable lifestyle movement to share knowledge on how to be more responsible with our waste. They particularly discussed how to manage and sort recycling and which types of plastic and goods that we need to immediately remove from circulation as they cannot be recycled at all. Other topics were how to dispose properly of hazardous waste like batteries and light bulbs, etc and how to cut down on and dispose properly of food waste. The group was brought together by Lisa Nesser of My Best Life CNX (Chiang Mai’s first zero waste store) and Hammon from @LessWasteForWhales, a zero waste blogger. Featured guests were P. TEDxChiangMai 2019 “Shake and Shift” was held at the Northern Science Park (NSP), Chiang Mai University. “TEDxChiangMai 2019 featured 20+ inspiring speakers and performers (from Chiang Mai and rest of Thailand, Ireland, Japan, Hong Kong, US, and the UK), workshops, and activities focusing on ideas that shake and shift our perspective. They focused on gender balance, but the topics and speakers were for all ages, men and women. The event was bilingual with a greater amount of tickets reserved for Thais and foreign residents living in Chiang Mai or Thailand.

TEDxChiangMai 2019 “Shake and shift” will be held at the Northern Science Park (NSP), on Canal Road, Chiang Mai University. “TEDxChiangMai 2019 will feature 20+ inspiring speakers and performers (from Chiang Mai and rest of Thailand, Ireland, Japan, Hong Kong, US, and the UK), workshops, and activities focusing on ideas that shake and shift our perspective. We have focused on gender balance, but the topics and speakers are for all ages, men and women. The event will continue to be bilingual with a greater amount of tickets reserved for Thais and foreign residents living in Chiang Mai or Thailand. This all-day event is an immersion and treat for yourself and include a post-event party with further activities and performances. The event is not-for-profit and organized by volunteers with support of the Chiang Mai University Science Park and other partner organization. It is Thailand’s most diverse TEDx event.
