CNX Rugby 15s League 2026
Four Clubs, One Growing Northern Rugby Competition
Northern rugby has started an exciting new chapter with the Northern Rugby 15s League, running from August to October 2026 and bringing four of the region’s rugby clubs together for a competitive 15-a-side season.
The inaugural competition features Lanna Rugby Club, Chiang Mai All Stars, TNSU Rugby Club and PRC Rugby Club, providing players with valuable competitive rugby while strengthening the club game across Northern Thailand.
The opening rounds have already produced some exciting rugby and closely contested matches.
Round 1 — 1 August 2026
The competition opened with PRC Rugby Club recording a 14–7 victory over TNSU Rugby Club, while Chiang Mai All Stars defeated Lanna Rugby Club 15–5.

Round 2 — 8 August 2026
Lanna Rugby Club bounced back strongly in the second round, defeating TNSU Rugby Club 19–5.
Chiang Mai All Stars continued their impressive start with a convincing 28–5 victory over PRC Rugby Club.

Round 3 — 15 August 2026
The third round produced another strong performance from Lanna Rugby Club, who recorded a 29–14 win over PRC Rugby Club.
Chiang Mai All Stars maintained their unbeaten run with a 28–12 victory over TNSU Rugby Club.

Next Round — 10 September 2026
The league is scheduled to return on 10 September, with a special round featuring Payap University and a series of matches against the established Northern Rugby 15s League clubs.
The scheduled fixtures are:
- Payap University vs Lanna Rugby Club
- Payap University vs TNSU Rugby Club
- Payap University vs PRC Rugby Club
- Payap University vs Chiang Mai All Stars
The fixtures remain subject to Payap University being able to field a team for the round.
Finals Day — 7 November 2026
All roads will lead to Payap University on 7 November 2026 for Finals Day, when the league reaches its conclusion.
With the opening rounds already demonstrating the competitiveness of the clubs, the final stages promise to provide an exciting finish to the Northern Rugby 15s League season.
A Positive Step for Northern Rugby
The Northern Rugby 15s League represents an important development for rugby in the region. Regular 15-a-side competition gives players the opportunity to develop their skills, match fitness and understanding of the game while providing clubs with a structured pathway to grow their squads.
Just as importantly, the competition brings Northern rugby clubs together and creates more opportunities for players to compete, develop and represent their clubs.
