It’s still winter-ish! So why not slip into a hot spring, soak away your woes and emerge all fresh and perky!

Sankampaeng Hot Springs

This is a sure-bet for a quick and easy few hours’ soak. Here you can take a dip in a private tub or just soak your feet in a hot part of the flowing stream. Feeling hungry? Try boiling eggs in the steamy and bubbling waters. If you wish to spend a night there is a camping site for an adventurous vibe and residences with private onsen available.

Pong Kwao Hot Springs

Quite a drive into the mountains, this secret destination has one superb spring pool, its blue waters surrounded by a rock wall for utter privacy. Rent this, or the many smaller rooms and baths, for the afternoon. Take your friends and family and a picnic basket and shed the mountain chill as you sink into comforting hot spring water.

Theppanom Springs

A less popular destination, therefore less crowded. This hot spring is tucked away in the isolated area in Mae Chaem district at about a 100 km drive from the city. The hot spring itself is too hot for a dip but there are mineral tubs available nearby. You can bring your own eggs to boil!

Pong Dueat Hot Spring

It’s a bit of an adventure to reach this hot spring. You will be sweating profusely after the 800 metre trek up the natural trail. There is an impressive geyser shooting hot water up to the sky and the hot spring is surrounded by dense forest so you can sit and soak while listening to the sounds of nature.

Fang Hot Springs

This is probably one of the largest hot springs in northern Thailand with about 50 spots to dip in within a 10 rai area. As it is located in a national park, you are ensured of serenity and peace. There is also private mineral hot tubs and steamed sauna available.

Doi Saket Hot Springs

The local authorities has developed this hot spring into a sharing bath house where local villagers come to take a bath during cold evenings. This is a chance to experience the local rural lifestyle. Could be fun!
