This charming city hotel sits in the heart of Chiang Mai, just opposite the road from Wat Chedi Luang. wWile its outward views are enviable, it also looks inwards toward a courtyard filled with tropical trees, flowers, and a swimming pool next to a traditional wooden sala.

It is here under the sala where afternoon tea is often served. This is usually complimented by a kaleidoscopic array of sweet and savoury bites covering all the classics, from scones to croissants and brownies. They even have five delicious jams to choose from. But what is truly unique is the classic Thai desserts, which many foreigners may not be familiar with such as golden egg thread cakes and drops as well as an array of tropical seasonal fruits.

Of course tea is the highlight of the experience, and there is an assortment of teas to choose from ranging from classic blends to Thai iced tea.
