This summer has been dramatic, with scorching days and wild storms. It has also been a source of inspiration for Chef Lakana ‘Mam’ Suakaew of 137 Pillars House Hotel’s Palette Restaurant. With a city painted with vibrant coloured flowers in bloom and the heat producing great seasonal vegetables, you can indulge in the best of this summer’s produce:
Start off with Japanese kaiso seaweed – wolffish — black Biko caviar with Japanese sesame vinegar. This dish may sound like a foreign import, but it features a certain local vegetable best found this time of the year. The vegetables is rich in nutrients and and wrapped in a zucchini while decorated with a bouquet of flowers. This bite sized delight is topped with a decadent scoop of caviar.
Next enjoy the coolness of a healthy tomato gazpacho, is melody of flavours and health properties world renowned.
The classic Caesar salad is next, and a medley of the season’s freshest is flavoured with crispy bits of bacon and parnasan.
A refreshing yuzu sorbet cleanses your palate before Palette presents you with the next dish.
A tenderly cooked fillet of marinated snowfish melts in your mouth and is served with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables. A delicate cream of lemon source elevates the flavours of the fish. Or for a heartier dish, order the grilled veal Angus beef slathered in a delicious red wine sauce.
End the feast with a caramel brownie
