A sprawling colonial style resort with sweeping views of endless paddy fields which take the eyes up to the slumbering Doi Suthep-Pui mountain range on the horizon – Rosario Oasis Resort is just the place we all need right now.
Wander past vine-clad villas, each decorated with artistic stenciling and glittering murals, filled with opulent and eclectic hand-picked furnishings, past trickling fountains and lush foliage. Arrive on an elevated terrace which commands fabulous views of the resort’s flower gardens, inviting pool and exquisite architecture. This is a place to indulge in a long lazy lunch, a decadent afternoon tea, a sunset drink or a fun evening with your loved ones.
Rosario Oasis Resort is all about indulgence and beauty, each nook and corner set up for Instagram perfection, whether it’s the Jacuzzi-with-a-view or the white linin-wrapped gazebo which sits right in the middle of the paddy field. Everywhere you look there is a profusion of flowers, their aromas gently journeying with the winds.
At Rosario Oasis Resort, all things floral reign. This extends to its menu, which is filled with mouthwatering and tempting dishes, all of which arrive like a pretty bouquet on a plate.
Start off with the flower salad inspired by a popular noodle dish where minced pork and edible flowers are rolled up into bite-sized rolls and served with a duo of traditional spicy and gentler mayonnaise cream sauce. Another must try dish is the fall-off-the-bones barbeque ribs coated in rich and delicious sauce and served with a kaleidoscopic array of edible flowers. The classic kanom jeen nam prik noodles is a rare treat at the best of times, but when served with pork and tempura flowers, it is elevated to an art form. Our last recommendation is the chef’s greatest pride, a smorgasbord of chili dips which arrives on a tiered tray, offering four tasty dips served with Northern meats, pork rind, vegetables…and you guessed it, edible flowers!
It’s not just about pretty petals here, it is also leaves…one leaf in particular – marijuana. There are now two steak dishes, pork and beef, which are wrapped in certified marijuana leaves and cooked to perfection. Prices start at a very reasonable 280 baht. So if you are wanting to try some edibles, this is the place to go.
Then there is the afternoon tea; a resplendent set of freshly baked goodies from strawberry panna cotta to Montblanc mango, crème brulee, brownies, macarons, as well as some savoury treats including satay, tuna sandwich and so much more.
Rosario Oasis Resort sits amidst a number of bucolic villages and spreads of paddy fields just outside of Chiang Mai city. Grab one of the resort’s bicycles and spend hours wending your way along meandering country lanes, getting to know the local culture and people. The resort itself offers fishing in its lotus-clad ponds, organic farming for the curious, cooking classes as well as an in house photographer to capture every special moment. In the coming months there will be an arts and crafts studio, a café as well as a spa on premises. Rosario has all sorts of fun and fabulous activities to keep its guests and visitors entertained and occupied. Children can enjoy a fun and safe sandpit and playground next to the pool; dogs and cats even have their own suites where they are welcomed to stay close to their owners so that the entire family as well as their beloved pets can have a fun holiday. There is even an outdoor playroom with a ping pong table and baby football.
There is something for just about everyone and with tasty food, spectacular scenery, activities and a fabulous setting, its time you checked out Rosario Oasis Resort.
