Kanomjeen Sanpakoi
No visit to Chiang Mai is complete without trying Kanomjeen or rice vermicelli, and Kanomjeen Sanpakoi has been a local favorite since 1977. This Kanomjeen is set in Thongkham market in Sanpakhoi area and has been delighting locals with its local specialty curries. The highlight is Nam Lo, a unique local creation that blends two favorites between Northern Thai curry sauce and coconut chicken curry sauce into one rich, satisfying dish.
Besides Kanomjeen, this food stand also serves a range of delicious curries, including green curry chicken, spicy red curry with pork, beef curry, and Khao Soi. Side vegetables and pickles accompany every order with unlimited.

Patongo Ko Neng
Located near Warorot market on Wichayanon road, Patongo Ko Neng has been serving deep-fried dough sticks and soy milk for more than three decades. The owner, uncle Neng, usually opens his restaurant at 6 in the morning and starts making Pa Tong Ko or fried dough as orders. His Pa Tong Ko is known for creative snacks that are shaped into many cute creatures like dragons, dinosaurs, crocodiles, and elephants. All are hand-crafted with the texture of crispy on outside and puffy on inside. The price starts at 20 baht while a normal Pa Tong Ko is 3 baht each. What’s more, congee, soft-boiled eggs and fresh milk are also available.

Khao Kriab Pak Moh or steamed rice skin dumplings, is a common Thai street food that has been with Thai people since ancient times. At Lung Khajohn Wat Ket, this timeless snack has been served for over decades and has passed down its recipes from generation to generation. Their distinctive Khao Kriab Pak Moh features a tasty sweet and salty filling wrapped in delicate rice flour sheets infused with coconut milk served alongside rich coconut cream. Run by a Thai-Pakistani lady and her family for nearly 40 years, Roti Pa Day has become beloved street food stall has earned a strong reputation among both locals and tourists as one of the best in the city. With around 20 different toppings, each roti is perfectly cooked in coconut oil making it a crispy exterior and perfectly chewy texture. You’ll find the stall set up in front of Wat Mahawan on Thapae Road, open from 5 pm until midnight.
