Easter at Mandorla Sicilian Bistrot
If you’re looking for a reason to treat yourself this Easter weekend, Mandorla Sicilian Bistrot on Sirimangklajarn Road has put together a four-course set menu that will have you lingering at the table well into the afternoon.
Available on 5th and 6th April only, the menu opens with an Easter Egg Florentine — a seasonal flourish on the classic, dressed with pan-fried guanciale and fresh greens. From there, house-made cappelletti (or dumplings, for those who aren’t up on their Italian cuisine lingo) arrive in a beef consommé that suggests someone in that kitchen takes their stock seriously.
The main event is a six-hour slow-cooked lamb shank braised in red wine, served alongside white beans, carrot purée, fondant potato and cherry tomato confit.
Dessert is a latte mousse with confit citrus zest, chocolate almond soil and mint tuile, before the meal closes with Easter cookies and coffee or tea. It’s a menu that moves at its own pace—Italian-style!
At 1,250 baht per person with service charge included, it sits comfortably in the range of great value for money.
The kitchen is open 11.30am to 10pm on both days, which means it works equally well as a long Easter lunch or an unhurried dinner.
Mandorla has carved out a quiet reputation for doing Sicilian cooking with genuine care — this menu reads like a natural extension of that, dressed up for the occasion.
