Jian Cha Tea, a Thai-Chinese tea brand, opened just over a year but already with 46 branches across Thailand, has just opened up its first branch in the North right here in Chiang Mai at Maya Lifestyle Mall and tea fans are rushing to try their fascinating sounding products.
This relatively new tea brand, which also now has two branches in Australia and soon to open one each in Singapore and Spain, is marketing itself as a premium tea using premium products with modern flair and a brand-forward approach. The drinks are unique, distinctive and on trend while the tea is promised to be brewed every four hours to ensure optimum freshness.
One of the reasons this brand has taken Thailand by storm is the fun factor, with an assortment of toppings and concoctions never seen before.
“I have always loved tea and when I saw the health trend coming so strong I realised that I could leverage my experience in Corporate Identity to develop a brand which is healthy as well as tasty. I did a lot of research into the history and properties of tea and realised that the Chinese people first drank tea medicinally for health purposes and I thought that we could focus on these properties while creating new products,” said Polly Hason, known as Dr. Polly, Founder and CEO of Jian Cha Tea.
“From tea leaves to milk, fruits to cheeses, we only source the best quality and the freshest products to put into our drinks. Yet we are rapidly growing which means that speed and scale must always be balanced with quality control.”
If tea with cream cheese and and fresh fruits is your thing, head to this new tea shop on the block and check out some of their best sellers:
The signature cream cheese grape tea made with daily-fresh-whipped cream cheese.
The classic Thai tea which uses premium leaves, rather than the sticks and stems which made the iconic traditional colour. Here, a far healthier carrot juice is used to enhance the colouring.
The intriguing pecan milk tea with whipped cream.
The brown sugar milk tea.
Then there are the tea fruit smoothies such as the avocado yogurt, the grape smoothie, the camellia milk tea, the orange tea smoothie, etc.
You can even choose from a multitude of toppings to add another jaunty flourish to your cuppa such as konjac jelly, water chestnut bubble pop, crispy bread, freshly peeled grapes, pecan or whipped cream.
