As the season begins to think about changing, Chef Lakana ‘Mam’ Suakaew of 137 Pillars House’s award winning Palette Restaurant, is way ahead of the game, having thought up a whole new menu to greet the impending cool winds.
With a focus on the organic produce which are about to become abundant over the coming months, Chef Mam has delivered a six course menu which will be available from October of this year to the end of January next year.
The Chef’s Tasting Menu starts with an amuse bouche of anchovy and mushroom bruschetta, all crunchy and a perfect bite of umami!
The first dish is the pumpkin soup in bread with garlic croutons, served steaming hot and aromatic, followed by a refreshing asparagus and tomatoes salad with eta cheese and balsamic reduction – all freshly picked from our surrounding hills.
Next, you can cleanse your palette with a strawberry sorbet before diving into the main delights.
There are three main courses from which to choose; river prawns with mushroom ravioli roasted pineapple in red curry sauce served with battered betel leaves, roasted pork ribs with apple sauce served with winter vegetables and pesto pasta with asparagus, broccoli, edamame, and Brussels sprouts. So you will be spoilt for choices!
End your feast with a delightfully sinful strawberry and mascarpone cream cheese dessert which simply melts in the mouth with bursts of piquant from the fresh strawberries.
Give yourself and your loved ones a treat with this six course menu at 137 Pillars House’s Palette Restaurant from October for only 1,370++ per person without alcohol, or 1,770++ per person with one glass of wine.
