Woods Bar
Woods Bar is a newly opened rooftop bar on the 12th floor of the Prestige Hotel Chiang Mai. Decorated with hanging lights and a glowing swimming pool, it almost feels like a well designed penthouse patio, with a 360 degree view of the city and mountain. It’s close enough to Nimmanhaemin to be worth a visit but far enough away to feel like you are escaping the usual haunts. The atmosphere is cozy and comfy and there is no need to dress up. Parties and private celebrations can be held at the bar too if you are interested.
Woods Bar also supports local craft beers along with the usual Thai favourites, with promotions and other options available too such as mixed drinks or a whiskey. Recommended tipples include Red Truck IPA and Weissbier from the Chiang Mai Brewing Company.

akyra Rise Bar
This is a great spot for a more luxury dining and drinking experience. Right in the heart of Nimmanhaemin is the akyra Manor Hotel, with its Rise Bar on the rooftop, obviously. It’s modern, and has a gorgeous pool with dynamic lighting and a glass wall so you can enjoy watching people frolic day and night. Open to both hotel guests and walk-ins, the Rise Bar also sports a varied menu with some western favourites that pair perfectly with their mixology bar and a wide range of cocktails, mixed drinks and wines to choose from. From 5.30pm to 6.30pm enjoy happy hour and drink two for one on most drinks. Every Friday there is also a jazz music performance for your enjoyment.

Oasis Rooftop Garden Bar
A small bar located in the heart of Chiang Mai with a relaxed atmosphere. The Oasis Rooftop Garden Bar is a peaceful place, with a bit more of a rustic feel than our other entries. Comfortable seating, spacious rooftop and polished plaster walls mix the old with the new with beautiful views of Doi Suthep too. Ther is a wide range of cocktails that play on Thai flavours, such as the Tom Yum Mojito – hard to find up north. There is also a wide range of Belgian beers and international whiskeys to choose from if cocktails are not your thing.

Myst Rooftop bar
Myst is a Chiang Mai favourite. Beginning its life in Thonglor, Bangkok, it has now opened up on the rooftop of Maya Lifestyle Shopping Centre, bringing the high class and exciting tempo of the capital city to the north. It’s unique design is certainly eye-catching and there is always a mixologist sparking up a Flaming Lamborghini or some other wild concoction that are great to drink and take pictures of too. Using art and science, they really go that extra mile to explore the full potential of cocktails, fiery displays and liquid nitrogen. They also have a delicious range of bar snacks and nibbles that can help soak up that alcohol. There is live music most evenings followed by upbeat DJs who take the party to another level in the darker hours of the night.
