Nope, this is not something to do with the famous video game character, but Chiang Mai’s one and only ice skating rink located in our lovely air–conditioned Central Festival. Children from three years old all the way to adults are invited to come and have a skate any day of the week at just 250 baht (300 baht at weekends) for one and a half hours of fun. A great place to enjoy with your friend or get down to some more serious activities such as ice hockey and figure skating. They even have courses for ages 10 and up for those looking to get professional! At the end of June, look out for the Figure Skating Championships – a show expected to bring the crowds with some of the best figure skaters in Thailand. Also look out for an ice hockey event in August. For those unsure if ice hockey is for them, why not check out the Sunday morning walk-in hockey session open for all to give it a go before committing to a full course.
