The Canal Restaurant, situated in the palatial grounds of the newly opened Rim hotel, is another great reason to eat out in Chiang Mai. Serving mostly fusion dish of Thai/European/Indian extraction, the dishes are a smorgasbord of flavors and have little twists added by the restaurant’s chef. There is a lunch and dinner menu, consisting of dishes such as beef tenderloin, lamb cutlet and Indian spiced boneless chicken. The crab cakes at The Canal are far from your run-of-the-mill crab cakes: Citylife certainly recommends them, as do we recommend the beef in oyster sauce. A great new addition for the city’s foodies where you can dine in style at affordable price. Dishes range from 100-400 bath.
