CityNews – A 26 year old woman in Chiang Mai is believed to have murdered her two children. Police found parts of their bodies at the woman’s house, their heads hanging in one room, and also the children’s intestines that were cooking with curry in a pot in the kitchen.

The woman had visited the hospital

On 20th August, Police Colonel Surachai Supayod-amorn, the commander of Mae Ai Police Station, revealed that the woman, named Namai Jaku, had killed her five and one year old children in Mae Ai.

On 4th August Mae Ai Police Station received a call that there had been a murder in Ban Padang, Mea Ai. When police arrived they found the gruesome scene, and also three one metre long swords and a large chopping board.

The commander said the woman was psychotic and had a medical history showing that she had been admitted at Saun Prung Hospital in 2007. She had been given pills to treat her psychotic episodes. It is thought that a few months ago her pills ran out, and she didn’t go back to the hospital for more medication. It’s not known exactly why she committed the crime. Police said only that the woman had mental issues, though they added that her husband had not reported anything odd. He told police she had killed the children while he had been at work.
