Three Provinces Negotiate for Distribution of Longan

CityNews – the Department of Internal Trade Chiang Mai arranged a meeting with longan traders in Chiang Mai at the Northern Agriculture Product Convention Centre to discuss longan distribution.

At the meeting traders from three provinces discussed how they might expand longan distribution to markets all over Thailand. The effort is supported by government and private organizations, although it was brought up that most Thai longan farmers had no experiences in marketing.

Witchuda Kantee, the policy and special plan analyser of the 1st Regional Office of Agriculture Economy, said the development of agricultural goods was very important and it was equally important for farmers to reach a bigger market.
