The Two Noble Prize Winning Scientists to Attend a Science and Technology Conference in Chiang Mai
CityNews – The Faculty of Sciences, Chiang Mai University and The Science Society of Thailand Under the Patronage of His Majesty the King, will arrange the 38th Congress on Science and Technology of Thailand during 17th – 19th October at the International Convention Centre, The Empress Hotel.
The conference will be called: The Future of Mankind
Attending there will be more than 700 researchers from 18 departments of science. Professor Aaron Clechanover, the 2004 Noble Prize winner (Chemistry) and Professor Lourdes J Cruz the winner of L’Oreal-UNESCO Award for women in Science 2010.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn will open the conference and listen to talks given by Noble Prize winning scientists, as well as give awards to Thai scientists. One of the scientists who will be given an award is Professor Nipon Chatthipakorn, whose work on Ventricular Fibrillation has been copyrighted in the United States of America and some European countries.
