The Pollution Control Department will be Holding their Annual Sale of Green Products in 12 Provinces throughout Thailand
CityNews – Banpot Khanthasen, Director of Natural Resources and Environment in Chiang Mai, announced that this year’s annual sale of green products aims to stem pollution and natural resource levels.
Modern, clean, and safe products will be sold to benefit the environment. The event will take place in twelve provinces around Thailand, including Bangkok, Saraburi, Rayong, Chon Buri, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Chiang Mai, and Lamphun.
Banpot explained that different stores will apply to sell a variety of green products, rewarding them with signs for their shop, showing they are environmentally friendly and selling all-legal products, uniforms for their staff, and a manual on how to run a successful business. To apply, stores must have retail licences and health licences that are not expired. Stores that apply and meet these requirements will be reviewed, with first, second, and third place prizes for the best stores; first place receives a certificate and 5,000 baht, second place receives a certificate and 3,000 baht, and third place receives a certificate.
Last year, 3,827 participated in the sale, with 363 stores coming in third place, 99 stores coming in second place, and 8 stores coming in first place. 450 stores in Chiang Mai participated, with 30 receiving awards.
