Students from the College of Arts, Media and Technology, CMU Win SIPA Awards
CityNews – Animation students from the College of Arts, Media and Technology at Chiang Mai University have won top animation awards.
The winners
Komkrit Tacome, Arijawat Meejui, Tanapon Tiemjan, Rachanon Kattiyon, Kripong Tapanyo, Tanapat Kanjanopat and Tidarat Jantarapreeda, students who established the Kwoa Ngai Studio Limited Company, won the Ancient Lanna Platform Software for Historical Tourism prize.
They received 1,200,000 baht from the Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA) on 30th June. A board member of SIPA, Chalermpon Punnotok, explained how SIPA wants to support the historical tourism industry by using Digital Content as a historical information provider.
Using digital content three stories about three famous temples in Chiang Mai including, Wat Phrasingh, Wat Saun Dok and Wat Chedi Laung, will be told. This will further establish Chiang Mai as creative city.
