Red Shirts Honour Those Killed in Protests
CityNews – On 19th May more than 300 people from the Rak Chiang Mai 51 group, led by Krisana Prombungram, assembled at 92.5 MHz, a radio channel for Red Shirts located at the Grand Warorot Hotel.
The colour red takes on another symbolic meaning related to the May 2010 protests.
The group then marched along Huay Kaew Road and turned right at the Rincome intersection and then headed to the Democrat Party Office on the Superhighway Road. When they reached the office they burned wreaths honoring the deaths of red shirts killed during the Bangkok protests in May 2010.
The group also marched along Chotana Road, Sompetch Market, Warorot Market, Thapae Road and finished their march at Tapae Gate where various speakers talked about the atrocities in 2010.
