Pile-up on City Road Leaves One dead and Two Badly Injured

CityNews – Four vehicles were involved in an accident on Chotana Road in the evening 14th September leaving one man dead and two injured. 

The driver was mangled by the impact and could not be helped by the rescue team

Mae Rim Police Station were called to a crash outside Ban Pa Tew School, on Chotana Road in Mae Rim. The police found a large orange truck owned by the Royal Irrigation Department that had been hit from the back by another Royal Irrigation Department truck. The second truck had hit at high speed causing the death of Thong-In Tontron (50) who died on impact.

Two smaller trucks had also hit the Irrigation Trucks at high speed causing injuries to both drivers. The drivers were rushed to hospital.  

Police said that it is believed that the Royal Irrigation Department trucks had been travelling too fast on a wet road, and when the first truck braked the second truck could not stop in time.
