One of the Biggest Drug Lords in Thailand Arrested – Police Seize Assets Worth Hundreds of Millions

CityNews – Police say they have arrested one of the biggest drug dealers in northern Thailand.

On 21st October, 9 a.m. Police Region 5 and officers from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, Phamuang Army Base and Drugs Enforcement Administration (USA) went to a house at Baan Pimuk 1 in Sansai to arrest Taworn Somjit also known as A-Jong Saelu or Phanu Pabue (33).

The officers seized two cars, seven pick-up trucks, one tractor, five motorcycles, 672,600 in cash, 14 baht weight of gold, nine bank accounts with over 200 million baht in them, credit cards, four houses, rubber tree land, a corn farm, as well as 200,000 baht’s worth of yaba pills.
