Lin Ping Supports Thai Athletes in London and Raises Money for Shelters

CityNews – The Panda Research and Display Organisation in Thailand hosted the 3^rd year and the 2^nd month anniversary for Lin Ping, Chiang Mai’s favourite panda.

It seems like Lin Ping wants to go to London too!

Chiang Mai zoo invited people to support Thai athletes participating in the 30^th Olympic Games, which will be held in London, United Kingdom during 27^th July – 12^th August, by coming to the zoo and hanging out with Lin Ping.

Thailand has sent 37 athletes in 16 sports to London competing in: boxing, weightlifting, clay shooting, athletics, swimming, taekwondo, archery, windsurfing, judo, rowing, horse riding, shooting, table tennis, badminton, sailing and cycling.

Chiang Mai Zoo also received donations from people who came to see Lin Ping supporting the athletes. The donations were called: ‘Panda Helps Friends’ (rough translation). The donations were given to many shelters in Chiang Mai, including Agape Home, Wiang Ping Home, Wai Thong Nivet Welfare, and dog and cat foundations.
