Four Muggers Arrested for Violent Attack
CityNews – Four men have been arrested for violently mugging a sixteen year old outside a 7-11 store in the Wat Gate area.

On the 2nd of May, officers from the Maeping police station arrested 26 year old Narongsak Duangrad, 31 year old Weerasak Ponsak, 27 year old Wiwat Saengwong, and 32 year old Anucha Nuchtongmuang.
On the 19th of April, 2012, five men attacked 16 year old Preedee Praisan in front of a 7-11 convenience store on Tung Hotel Road, Wat Gate, downtown Chiang Mai. They used a 9-mm gun and threatened the victim and beat him until he passed over all his valuables. They escaped with one silver necklace weighing four baht, and one Buddha image amulet.
After an investigation by the police, four of the muggers were found. They confessed to the police that 21 year old Worapong Tikumrai, was involved and police say he is now on the run. One of the muggers, Narongsak Duangrad, confessed that the gang have committed robberies in that same area many times.
