Couple Found Dead in Saraphee
CityNews – On the night of July 6th, the Sarapee Police received a call that two people had been found dead at the Chiang Mai Voyager tour office in MS Village, Nhongphueng, Sarapee. When the authorities arrived, they found Ampon Sadatu and his French wife Sereve Jordano. Both the husband and wife had died from shotgun blasts delivered to the head. They both were 47 years old at the time. It is believed that the incident was a murder-suicide.
Phamorn Sadatu, Ampon Sadatu’s nephew, discovered the bodies at approximately 8 p.m. Phamorn had left that morning to visit his friend and was told by his uncle to lock all the doors on the way out. When he returned that evening and was cooking in the kitchen he noticed blood coming from his uncle’s room. He then opened the door and discovered the two bodies.
According to Phamorn, Ampon had worked as a tourist guide in the past and was currently a taxi driver. Ampon and Sereve had been married for 20 years, but recently the two had been fighting over debt. Because of their money troubles, police suspected that Ampon first killed his wife and then took his own life.
