Chiang Mai to be Decorated with Her Majesty Queen Sirikit Symbols

CityNews – Governor ML Panadda Diskul has announced to the press that Chiang Mai will soon be decorated with ‘Her Majesty 80^th Birthday Celebration’ flags in public areas, starting from now until the 31^st December 2012, as requested by His Majesty King Bhumibol.

The flag for the 80^th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on the 12^th August 2012 contains her initials inside an oval-shape with a crown placed on top.

The oval shape is surrounded by an ancient inscription and a white- seven layered umbrella. Below the oval is the Thai number 80, written with diamonds. Below the number, the text ‘Her Majesty 80^th Birthday Celebration on the 12^th of August 2012’ is written over a satin sheet.
