Pichayaporn Desakul, Pattamon Kongkumbut, and Tanakorn Taminkaew took part in the ‘Young Physicists’ Tournament 2012’ which was organised by various schools and universities in Thailand. The tournament was held to give Thai youth the opportunity to show their talents in physics on a national scale, before selecting Thai representatives to compete in the International Young Physicist Tournament (IYPT) held in Bad Saulgau, Germany, from the 20th to the 29th of July 2012.
The fact that three students came from Chiang Mai University Demonstration School has made the school proud. All three students had participated in the ‘Science Classroom Project’ for the ‘Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology’. This was under the supervision of Chiang Mai University, in an effort to guide students into academia and eventually become Thailand’s future quality researchers in the field of science and technology.
