Banhan-Chumpol Survey Progress on International Convention Centre, Allocates an Extra 475 Million Baht to Project

CityNews – The International Convention Centre will be allocated an extra 475 million baht in construction funds following a visit by Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Chumpol Silpa-archa and Advisory President, Banhan Silpa-archa on July 16^th.

Construction of the convention centre, which is already valued at over 3,000 million baht, is still underway, with a number of projects remaining, including developing its security and sanitation systems, and planting its outside floral decorations. The new funds will go to building fences around the centre, aesthetic decorations, electrical systems and equipment.

Banhan emphasized that the electrical systems would need to be thoroughly tested once they were completed in late October. The convention centre is slated for completion for the end of this year.
