Amateur Drug Mules are caught with 500,000 Ya Ba Tablets that were Hidden in their Truck
CityNews – Two men were arrested in Chaiprakarn 6th September after police found half a million amphetamine pills stashed into a truck that had been modified to transport the pills.

On 6th September, 2 p.m., Police Lieutenant General Suthep Detraksa, the commander of Police Region 5 with the Border Patrol Police 33 and Office of Narcotics Control Board, arrested Sakthichai Jitkarn (38) and Sirachat Saetao (28) with 500,000 Ya Ba Tablets hidden in a Toyota Mighty X truck.
Before the arrest, Border Patrol Police set up a check point at Ban Pha Hong, Chaiprakarn district. At 4 a.m., police told the media that they stopped two men in a truck. Both men looked suspicious, police said, and were sweating. They also reported that one of the traffickers was reading the newspaper upside down.
The police therefore searched the truck and quickly found something wrong with the back of the vehicle. On further inspection they found many packs of Ya Ba.
Both of the mules told police that they were hired for 200,000 baht to transport the drugs from Mea Ai district in Chiang Mai to Talad Tai in Pathumthani. They said they had done the trip twice already.
