Addict Arrested with 1.7 Million Baht’s Worth of Ya Ba

CityNews – A Mr. Tawan BuaBai, 35, resident of Maewan, Prao, Chiang Mai, was arrested with 22,000 Ya Ba (amphetamine) pills on May 27th. The estimated cost of the drugs is around 1.7 million baht.

After his initial arrest police went to Tawan’s house and found 54 more Ya Ba pills, 9,000 baht in cash, 5 shotgun bullets and a motorcycle without a license plate. The suspect told the police that he bought the pills from a hill tribe man in Chiang Dao. Tawan confessed to the police that he had a 20 a day Ya Ba habit.
