Talking about the Bangkok-Chiang Mai High Speed Train
CityNews – On 24th September, at the CMU Convention Centre, the Ministry of Transport arranged a seminar focusing on investments in the transport system and the long-term economy strategies, much of which concerned the possibility of the much talked about high-speed train. Government bodies and private organisations attended the seminar.
It was discussed that the speed of the train will travel at around 300 kilometres per hour and it will take no more than three hours to reach Bangkok from Chiang Mai. The high speed train is currently under the MOU agreement between the Thai government and Chinese Government. It’s expected that construction will start in 2013.
