Deputy Chief of Ban Chang Being Forced to Leave Town

CityNews – Phongsatorn Harnjai, the Deputy Chief of Ban Chang Sub-District Administrative Organisation in the Mae Dtaeng district, has been asked to leave his post and get out of town.

Handing over the minutes

On 3rd July, Teerawat Sorn- Ngai, the Ban Chang sub-district headman, along with five village leaders handed in a letter to M.L. Panadda Diskul, the governor of Chiang Mai. The letter covered the minutes of the village meeting which detailed how people want Phongsatorn to resign.

They said that Phongsatorn could not cooperate with the community and was lazy. They also accused him of making many mistakes, and not following government policies as well as local development plans. The governor said he would investigate the matter.
