395 Households will Receive 5000 for Last Year’s Flood Damage

CityNews – Chiang Mai Province has prepared the sum of 5,000 baht to be offered to each of 395 households afflicted by floods in Muang and Saraphee Districts this coming 26^th July, 2012.

Chuchat Kilapang, Deputy Governor, quoted the 19^th June cabinet meeting, which approved a budget to be distributed to a total of 14 provinces, including Bangkok. The budget will come from the excess of national disaster budget, recently returned to the government. 

This sum is to cover the damages caused by last year’s flood; a sum which many of those affected are now calling far too low and arriving at a time when, for many, it is far too late.
