Free Stage Acting Workshops
August 21 - October 2
This Event Is Now Full. However, Reservations Are being Taken For The Next Session. Times And Dates Will Be Announced Soon.
The Gate Theater Group, in partnership with Chiang Mai Theatrics, will begin offering free stage acting workshops for adults 18 years and up this coming August. Our aim is first, to provide the basic skill set needed to produce truthful stage acting. Ultimately, we would like to cast these trained actors in plays and other activities with The Gate Theater and Chiang Mai Theatrics. At the same time, participants will gain valuable experience to use for other casting and performance opportunities that may become available in film or with other performance groups in the future.
Meeting twice a week, this 12 hour workshops will give participants the opportunity to learn the basics of acting technique, explore a bit of character study and dive into some cold scene work. At the end of the workshop there will be an ensemble performance to showcase the work in front of a live audience.
You don’t need to be great to get started but you do need to get started to be great!
