North Beer Challenge 2026: raising the bar, one lip-smacking pint at a time

Northern Thailand’s craft beer scene is getting serious. The North Beer Challenge 2026 is a structured, judged brewing competition designed to push the region’s craft brewers — both technically and creatively — to their very best.

Judging is conducted to BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) standards, the same international benchmark used in competitions worldwide, with a panel of experienced BJCP-certified and industry judges.

But this isn’t just about crowning a winner. The competition is built around quality, transparency and community, with the goal of levelling up northern Thailand’s craft beer culture through knowledge-sharing and honest feedback. The top prize? A commercial brewing deal — so the best beer doesn’t just win a trophy, it gets made.

Food vendors will be on hand serving up dishes chosen to pair well with whatever’s being poured, because good beer deserves good food.

The event will take place at Nim City Community Mall on 1–2 May 2026, from 5 pm to 11 pm.

There will be lots of booths—and fantastic news—and activities.
