ITALIAN NIGHT AT Lumi: An Evening of Wine

Friday, 28 August 2026 | 6.30 PM – 9.30 PM

This August, Lumi Restaurant invites guests on a journey through the sun-drenched vineyards of Southern Italy. Explore the distinctive wine regions of Sicily, Puglia, and Basilicata during an exclusive evening celebrating Italian winemaking, exceptional flavours, and timeless hospitality.

In collaboration with IWS Thailand, discover five carefully selected Italian wines, each thoughtfully paired with Italian-inspired savoury canapés prepared by Lumi’s culinary team. Throughout the evening, a wine specialist will share the unique stories behind each label, from their heritage and terroir to the characteristics that make every bottle truly memorable.

Featured Wine Selection

Planeta La Segreta Grillo
Sicilia DOC, 2023

Produced by the renowned Planeta family, whose winemaking heritage dates back to 1694, this elegant white wine showcases Grillo, one of Sicily’s indigenous grape varieties. Planeta was ranked No. 38 in The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands 2026.

Tasting notes: Bright citrus, green apple, delicate herbal aromas, and a refreshing saline finish.

Planeta Rosé
Sicilia DOC, 2023

A beautifully balanced rosé crafted from Nero d’Avola and Syrah, offering freshness, elegance, and effortless drinkability.

Tasting notes: Floral aromas with strawberry, red currant, and subtle mineral notes.

I Muri Negroamaro
Puglia IGP, 2023

Named after the historic stone walls surrounding Puglia’s vineyards, I Muri celebrates the region’s rich viticultural heritage. While “Negroamaro” translates to “black and bitter,” the wine is generous, smooth, and remarkably approachable.

Tasting notes: Dark berry fruit, soft tannins, and warm, well-balanced richness.

Pipoli Aglianico del Vulture
Aglianico del Vulture DOC, 2021

Grown on the volcanic slopes of the extinct Mount Vulture in Basilicata, this wine reflects the region’s mineral-rich soils and produces the most structured and complex expression of the evening.

Tasting notes: Dark fruit, leather, spice, and a beautifully layered finish.

Coppi Siniscalco Primitivo
Puglia IGP, 2020

Produced by the historic Coppi winery, established in 1882, this expressive Primitivo highlights one of Southern Italy’s most celebrated grape varieties, genetically identical to California’s Zinfandel.

Tasting notes: Black plum, sweet spice, rich texture, and a generous, full-bodied character.
