About the Event
This heart-centered workshop and community meetup is created for expats, travelers, digital nomads, and anyone passing through Chiang Mai.
Many people notice a habit of putting others first—often at the expense of time, energy, or inner peace. Saying yes when the body wants to say no. Staying quiet to maintain harmony, avoid conflict, or be seen as “good enough.”
People-pleasing often begins as a survival skill: a way to belong, to be loved, to feel safe—especially when adapting to new cultures, environments, and expectations while living abroad. Over time, these patterns can quietly turn into self-betrayal.
From People-Pleasing to Self-Respect offers a safe and gentle space to slow down, reflect, and explore what it truly means to choose oneself without guilt, drama, or blame.
This is not about fixing anything or judging the past. There are no right or wrong answers—only honest stories, meaningful conversations, and shared understanding.
Key Themes
• Old Patterns — where people-pleasing began and why it once made sense
• Self-Respect — what it looks like in everyday life
• Breaking the Cycle — small, compassionate shifts toward honoring personal boundaries
Participants are welcome to listen, share, question, or simply be present.
This space is open to anyone seeking a more grounded, authentic, and aligned way of living—whether staying in Chiang Mai temporarily or long term.
Host
Fran
Fran is an experienced traveler and long-time Chiang Mai resident who has lived across cultures and life chapters. With warmth, curiosity, and grounded presence, Fran creates spaces where people feel safe to unmask, reflect, and reconnect with themselves—without pressure or judgment.
