Chiang Mai Afro-Latin Festival 2026: The 5th International Afro-Latin Dance & Culture Festival in Chiang Mai

November 27 - November 30

Chiang Mai Afro-Latin Festival 2026, the international Afro-Latin dance and culture festival, is returning to Chiang Mai for its 5th edition, taking place from 27–30 November 2026 at Khum Phu Kham Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The festival has been held continuously for the past four years, growing from a local dance community event into an international gathering that brings together dancers and dance enthusiasts from Thailand and around the world.

Chiang Mai Afro-Latin Festival was founded and organized by Khun Ying, owner of Bailamos Chiang Mai Dance Studio, with the vision of creating a welcoming space for people who share a passion for dance while promoting the growth and appreciation of Bachata and Kizomba in Chiang Mai and Thailand.

Over the past four years, the festival has continued to grow in both participation and international recognition. In 2026, the festival expects to welcome more than 300 participants from Thailand and various countries around the world.

Throughout the four-day festival, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activities, including Bachata and Kizomba workshops led by invited international artists and instructors, dance performances, and social dance sessions held in the evenings. The event is designed to provide opportunities for participants of all levels to learn new skills, improve their dancing, meet new people, exchange experiences, and enjoy dancing together in a friendly and international atmosphere.

Beyond dance, Chiang Mai Afro-Latin Festival also aims to create a platform for cultural exchange and international connection. Through music, dance, and social activities, the festival brings together people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, creating meaningful connections within the global Afro-Latin dance community.

Participants are expected to join from countries including Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Germany, Australia, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Canada, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Colombia, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United States, among many others.

Now entering its 5th consecutive year, Chiang Mai Afro-Latin Festival reflects the continued growth of the Bachata and Kizomba community in Chiang Mai and Thailand. The festival aims to further establish Chiang Mai as an international destination for Afro-Latin dance enthusiasts while contributing to the city’s vibrant multicultural and international community.
