Chiang Mai’s growing creative and lifestyle scene welcomed a major new addition this week with the official launch of popmart.com⁠’s first and largest concept store in Northern Thailand at MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center.

Branded as “POP MART Official Store @ MAYA Chiang Mai,” the new flagship-style outlet marks the brand’s debut in the North, bringing globally popular Art Toys and collectible culture into the heart of the city. The opening further reflects the rapidly growing popularity of designer toys in Thailand while positioning Chiang Mai as an emerging destination for contemporary lifestyle and creative culture among both Thai and international visitors.

The grand opening ceremony, held on 21 May 2026 at the Ground Floor of MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center, was attended by Chiang Mai Vice Governor Boonlue Thammathoranurak, Ms. Yang Shanshan, Commercial Consul of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Chiang Mai, alongside executives from sfcinemacity, popmart, minor, and Chiang Mai International Airport.

Designed as an immersive concept store, the new branch combines POP MART’s signature playful aesthetics with specially commissioned installations inspired by Chiang Mai’s identity as a “City of Art.” Visitors can explore interactive photo spots and large-scale displays featuring some of the brand’s most beloved characters, including HIRONO, CRYBABY and SKULLPANDA, creating what is expected to become a new landmark attraction in downtown Chiang Mai.

To celebrate the opening, exclusive promotions are being offered to POP MEMBERS and shoppers, including limited-edition sticker sets, magnetic badges and collectible accessories available with qualifying purchases, while stocks last.
