WTCE 2022 instrumental in lifting the region’s industry status on world map
Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB is moving forward with the World Tea and Coffee Expo 2022 (WTCE 2022) from 24 to 27 February 2022 in Chiang Mai.

The event, to be held at the Empress Convention Centre, The Empress Hotel, will provide a leverage to turn the northern region of Thailand into a world-class centre of production and trading of tea and coffee.

The event comprises three parts — symposium, trade show and business matching.
The exposition itself will bring together 50 exhibitors with 45 of them being Thai companies and five international showcasing their well- selected products and services.

Trade buyers and visitors will meet leading manufacturers, distributors, importers and suppliers covering the entire supply chain of the world’s most favourite drinks.

Another key part of WTCE 2022 is business matching and networking to further trade and investment as TCEB will bring real buyers in the tea and coffee industry from all over the country to come to negotiate trade under professional standards with a post-fair follow-up.

Also in the symposium, growers and local entrepreneurs from eight provinces in the North will have access to the latest information, knowledge and information on production, market trends and best practices which will be shared by experts.

At the WTCE 2022, there will be live-demonstrations of unique style and coffee making techniques by barista champions from Bangkok and the northern region.

This event is indeed an all-in-one tea and coffee event for the real people in the industry.

The strategy focuses in five key areas, namely, production efficiency improvement and production quality improvement without harming the environment; upgrading processing and creating added value; marketing development; research and development, strategy development; and management.

Chiang Mai is well positioned to become one of the world’s most important coffee and tea cities, blessed by its integrated supply chain.
On the upstream phase, the province is home to an ideal cultivation area and the source of quality coffee.

WTCE 2022 is expected to attract more than 1,000 attendants, spurring transactions worth over ten million baht in the course of four days.
The event will be highly beneficial to coffee and tea producers in the upper north provinces particularly Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Phrae and Nan.

If you are one of those in the tea and coffee business, this is an event that you don’t want to miss.
