The King’s Birthday Celebrations at Royal Park Rajapruek

The Highland Research and Development Institute (Public Organization) organized an activity to honor His Majesty the King on the occasion of his birthday on July 28, 2025. During the event,”The Buddhist chanting ceremony and alms-giving ceremony to offer merit to the King” at the Dharma Building in the Garden. Followed by the activities of the WSOP, jointly conserving and restoring soil, water, forests and the environment, in which participants worked together to continue, preserve and develop in line with the royal initiative, embracing the concept of 3 forests, 4 benefits and apply the King’s philosophy to the sustainable development of natural resources and the environment through various learning bases, such as the “Tree Planting Base” to increase the completeness of the forest, with Walk Rally activities Planting Vetiver grass for soil and water conservation and soil erosion. Adding orchids to nature (tying orchids to trees) to maintain and create a natural balance among plant species. “Water retardation dam making base” using natural materials (bamboo, rocks, soil, sand) to help slow down the flow of water and create moisture in the surrounding area. “Natural/organic compost making base” which takes leaf scraps and weeds in the area and makes organic compost using dry cow dung as the main ingredient. To help reduce the amount of waste disposal and create maximum resource value, “Biochar Base” Board Learning the process of burning charcoal (Biochar) by using non-recyclable materials left over from the area in the form of biochar. For environmentally friendly agriculture and “Mushroom spawning base in tree clones in bags”, learn the steps of spawning mushrooms in seedlings. For the restoration and creation of biological and food integrity at the learning base of the area, 3 Forests, 4 Benefits. In the evening, there was a ceremony to pledge to be a good civil servant and the power of the country for the year 2025, with Mr. Wirat Praptuk. The Director of the Highland Research and Development Institute led the executives and staff of the RID. Participated in the oath-taking ceremony to be a good civil servant and a power of the country, and also signed the book to offer good wishes. To express loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty’s great kindness in performing various royal duties for the benefit of the people. The ceremony followed by the offering of royal regalia and the laying of wreaths, and the lighting of candles to offer auspicious blessings at he Ratchaphruek Room, Exhibition Building 1, Royal Park Rajapruek, Chiang Mai Province. The activities throughout the day were attended by educational institutions, government and private agencies, officials from the Royal Park Rajapruek, and the Royal Park Rajapruek Lovers Club. On the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday, many people from Chiang Mai joined the activities to honor His Majesty the King on July 28, 2025 to express their loyalty and gratitude towards the Thai people.
