TEDxChiangMai 2025 – Public Briefing Announces “Actions for Our Future” at Monsoon Tea.
Main event set for 15-16 November 2025 at Chiang Mai University
TEDxChiangMai, in collaboration with the University Academic Service Center, Chiang Mai University (UNISERV CMU), hosted a Public Briefing and Reception on 27 October 2025 at Monsoon Tea, Wat Ket Riverside, to announce the upcoming TEDxChiangMai 2025 – “Actions for Our Future”, taking place on 15-16 November 2025 at UNISERV, Chiang Mai University.
Now entering its 14th year, TEDxChiangMai 2025 will once again bring together a diverse mix of speakers, artists, innovators, and changemakers from Thailand and beyond. The event will explore the question:
“How can we build a better future for Chiang Mai, for Thailand, and for the world?” Organized under the global TED Countdown initiative, TEDxChiangMai 2025 is a TED Countdown Anchor Event – one of only a few worldwide – aligning with COP30 in Belém, Brazil. The program will feature talks, performances, workshops, and exhibitions that inspire reflection and action on climate, sustainability, innovation, and community transformation.
Public Briefing: Ideas, Collaboration, and Community
The Public Briefing at Monsoon Tea offered partners, media, and invited guests a preview of the event’s highlights, including the speaker lineup, partner exhibitions, and workshops planned for November. Guests enjoyed a tea tasting, local food, and live acoustic music in a warm, mindful atmosphere. Attendees also heard welcoming remarks from Chiang Mai’s Governor, expressing support for events like TEDChiangMai that connect creativity, knowledge, and civic engagement toward a sustainable future. “This year’s TEDxChiangMai aims to go beyond awareness,” said Martin Venzky-Stalling, Licensee and Organizer of TEDxChiangMai. “We want to empower people – students, entrepreneurs, citizens — to take real action. Chiang Mai is a place of ideas, and we hope this event will help turn those ideas into shared pathways for change.”
