Press Conference to announce the “Northern Industrial Fair” Year-End Showcase to Boost Northern Economy with Factory-Direct Quality Products from 3–7 December 2025, atNorthern Industrial Promotion Center Region 1, Chiang Mai
The Ministry of Industry, through the Chiang Mai Provincial Industry Office, in collaboration with Provincial Industry Offices in the 8 upper northern provinces, the Northern Industrial Promotion Center Region 1, and the Federation of Thai Industries Chiang Mai Chapter, has announced the upcoming “Northern Industrial Fair”, a major year-end event presenting quality, standards-certified products at factory prices directly from producers to consumers. The fair will be held from 3–7 December 2025 at the Northern Industrial Promotion Center Region 1, Thung Hotel Road, Mueang District, Chiang Mai.The press conference was presided over by Mr. Weerapong Ritrod, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, and attended by senior government officials, private sector representatives, and members of the media. The event took place at the Northern Arabica Coffee Identity Development and Evaluation Center (NBACC), Handicraft Building, Northern Industrial Promotion Center Region 1, Mueang District, Chiang Mai.The “Northern Industrial Fair” aims to stimulate the economy of Chiang Mai and the northern region during the year-end period by bringing together a wide range of high-quality, standards-certified products from leading factories, SMEs, and community enterprises across the upper northern provinces. These products will be offered to the public at special prices, along with a variety of engaging activities throughout the event.Mr. Weerapong Ritrod, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, stated:
“December is considered the high season for Chiang Mai, when we typically welcome a large number of tourists. The Northern Industrial Fair will be a key event that helps stimulate and drive the economy in Chiang Mai and nearby areas, in line with the government’s Quick Big Win policy. We are grateful to the Ministry of Industry for choosing Chiang Mai as the venue for such a meaningful event, which will certainly help create a vibrant and lively atmosphere during the year-end period.”
Mr. Songkran Moolwijit, Chiang Mai Provincial Industry Officer, added that the “Northern Industrial Fair” will take place from 3–7 December 2025 at the Northern Industrial Promotion Center Region 1, Thung Hotel Road, Mueang District, Chiang Mai, and will feature a wide range of activities, including:
A royal tribute exhibition titled “Thai Industrial Crafts under the Gracious Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen Mother”
A sales zone featuring products from factories, SMEs, and community enterprises from the upper northern provinces, with more than 60 exhibitors, all offering high-quality, standards-certified products
Training sessions and seminars for SMEs and community enterprises on technology and innovation development, as well as legal business operations
Business matching activities to connect entrepreneurs with domestic and international business partners
Special “golden minute” promotional campaigns
Live demonstrations of local cuisine
Coffee brewing demonstrations by professional baristas
Mr. Pongkasem Potkaew, Lamphun Provincial Industry Officer, further noted that Lamphun Province, home to the Northern Industrial Estate, will be bringing several large, well-known manufacturers of popular consumer products to participate in the fair. These include:
CPRAM Co., Ltd.
Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Co., Ltd.
Wacoal Lamphun Co., Ltd.
These companies will offer their products at special promotional prices exclusively at the “Northern Industrial Fair”.The “Northern Industrial Fair” is funded by the Ministry of Industry and supported by relevant public and private sector organizations. The event is expected to generate no less than 10 million baht in economic value and to serve as a key mechanism in driving regional economic growth. It will also help strengthen the connection between factories, SMEs, and the general public, building confidence in the consumption of quality, standards-compliant products and laying the foundation for sustainable development in the future.
