Satapana Yatha Appointed New Chair of Chiang Mai City Police Advisory Board, Bringing Business Leadership Experience to Community Development
CHIANG MAI – A respected local business leader known for his commitment to community development and public service, Satapana Yatha, Managing Director of Evolution Skin Co., Ltd., has been appointed as the new Chair of the Police Administration Monitoring and Advisory Committee (Kor Tor Tor) of Chiang Mai City Police Station.
Beyond his success in the private sector, Satapana has long played an active role in supporting social initiatives and public-benefit projects across Chiang Mai. His leadership experience, extensive professional network, and dedication to public service have earned him the trust of stakeholders from multiple sectors, leading to his appointment to this important position.
The official handover ceremony was held at Chiang Mai City Police Station, attended by Pol. Col. Pratchaya Thisala, Superintendent of Chiang Mai City Police Station, alongside members of the outgoing and incoming Kor Tor Tor committees, police officers, and representatives from various sectors. The event was marked by a warm and supportive atmosphere as attendees welcomed the new leadership.
Speaking after the ceremony, Satapana expressed his gratitude for the confidence placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to applying his business management expertise to strengthen the work of the committee.
“I do not view this position as a matter of authority, but rather as an opportunity to serve society and contribute to Chiang Mai. Throughout my career, I have always adhered to the principles of transparency, ethical business practices, and giving back to the community. These are values I intend to bring into this role as well,” he said
The newly appointed chair also emphasized the importance of raising public awareness about the committee’s role. While many citizens may still be unfamiliar with the function of the Kor Tor Tor, he noted that the committee serves as a vital bridge between the public and the police, helping to gather community concerns, reflect public opinions, and provide recommendations that support more effective and responsive policing.
“I would like to see the Kor Tor Tor become an organization that is truly accessible to the public—one where people feel comfortable sharing concerns and know that their voices will be heard. I hope to help strengthen public understanding of the committee’s role and demonstrate that it can operate transparently, accountably, and for the benefit of society as a whole.”
Pol. Col. Pratchaya Thisala highlighted the significance of public participation through the Kor Tor Tor mechanism, noting that community engagement plays a key role in supporting police operations and building public trust. He also congratulated Satapana on his appointment and expressed confidence that close cooperation between the police and the committee would further benefit both residents and the province.
In closing, Satapana stressed that Chiang Mai belongs to everyone and possesses tremendous potential in areas ranging from economic development and tourism to quality of life.
“If the public sector, private sector, and citizens work together, we can help drive Chiang Mai forward in a way that is strong, sustainable, and beneficial for future generations. Collaboration is the key to creating a city that is both prosperous and livable for all.”
His appointment marks a new chapter for the Chiang Mai City Police Advisory Committee as it seeks to strengthen community engagement, enhance transparency, and foster greater cooperation between law enforcement and the public.
