DOI INTHANON THAILAND BY UTMB® is well received and attracts even more runners after COVID from being the first ever Asia Pacific’s Major UTMB® World Series.
Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB® in 2 weeks, will have more than 5,400 runners from 64 countries parade to collect 2x Running Stones and other benefits from being the Asia Pacific Major. Runners are from Asian countries such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and other continents such as France, Spain, America, United Kingdom or even from South America. This is a good sign after Thailand has fully opened the country after the Covid-19 pandemic. Ministry of Tourism and Sports by the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), the project owners, together with Doi Inthanon National Park and Chiang Mai Province have prepared and ready to welcome athletes and followers. Positioned as the pinnacle event of each continent, UTMB® World Series Majors must be able to welcome a strong international field, with each Major granting additional qualification chances for the UTMB® World Series Finals at UTMB® Mont-Blanc. The top 10 overall, male and female runners gain guaranteed access to UTMB® Mont Blanc. Age group winner’s male and female total of 55 runners will also gain guaranteed access to UTMB® Mont Blanc. Moreover, all race finishers are granted double the amount of Running Stones compared to other World Series Events, which are used as entries in the Finals lottery.
