Michelin Guide Chiang Mai Debut Announcement

Representatives from the Michelin Guide held a seminar at X2 Riverside Resort to announce the extension of the Michelin Guide’s reach to Chiang Mai. It’s new edtion ‘The Michelin Guide Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket & Phang-Nga 2020’is to be released at the end of 2019. At the present time there are no Michelin restaurants in Chiang Mai; although some have a ‘Michelin Star’ chefs or consultants. When a star is awarded – it belongs to the establishment. In the new guide to be released end of this year approximately 50 venues have been inspected. Stars are awarded in consideration high quality cooking worth a stop, quality of ingredients, personality of the cuisine, mastery of techniques and flavours, quality-price ratio, a best value for money – a very good meal at good prices.
