Chiang Mai Celebrates the Lunar New Year with “MAYA Happy Chinese New Year 2026”
Chiang Mai – MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center is ushering in the Year of the Horse with a vibrant city-center celebration, inviting residents and visitors to join the grand festivities of “MAYA Happy Chinese New Year 2026.”
Mr. Sarayut Thongrompho, Executive of MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center, led the management team and staff in marking the auspicious occasion with a traditional lion dance procession. As part of the celebration, auspicious oranges symbolizing prosperity, wealth, and good fortune were presented to all tenants throughout the mall, extending blessings for a successful and prosperous year ahead.
The “MAYA Happy Chinese New Year 2026” campaign runs throughout February 2026 at MAYA Square, offering a dynamic lineup of cultural activities and entertainment. Highlights include a Chinese Food Night Market, spectacular lion and dragon dance performances enhanced with black light effects, a basic lion dance workshop, live music performances, and traditional Chinese dance showcases.
To further enhance the festive atmosphere, the shopping center has been adorned with vibrant Lunar New Year decorations both inside and outside the premises. A special Year of the Horse zodiac sculpture serves as a striking centerpiece and photo landmark, adding color and charm to the celebrations.
